| Introduction to Quartz Heaters- QUARTZ SHEATH
Shields radiating coil from ambient loss due to external drafts. Quartz tube provides the highest infrared transmission capability of any material available. Quartz tubes are more durable than tungsten filament lamps or sealed quartz tubes and has a life expectancy up to several years. Quartz heater gives out very low emission in the visible spectrum, hence fewer glares.- TERMINALS
Most standard is the 10-32 stainless steel screw terminal. Also available with various other terminations like lead wire, quick disconnects type etc. (Refer to Terminations and Style).- CERAMIC CAPS
Specially designed insulating ventilated caps facilitate breathing of the heater during heating and cooling. Ceramic caps also act like a support for the heater. Varieties of caps are available for different terminations.- CEMENT
A high temperature, low expansion cement is used for bonding the quartz and the ceramic caps. Quartz heaters are also manufactured without cement where alternate method of supporting is used. - COIL
Optimum design of the coil provides uniform heat, a clear red color at full design voltage and a infrared medium wave length at energy peak of 2.30 to 3.00 microns. Fast acting design is also available when needed. Coil is designed to be used in horizontal position only.Quartz Heater SpecificationsDimensional Data on C, M, N, P, S, and V Style Heaters DIAMETER | NOMINAL QUARTZ O.D.
